Sexy Stuff

I’m going to ask that if you know me IRL (in real life), please do not read this blog post. And if you go any further, just look at the title and see if you still want to read on. Lol. Alrighty, so it’s just my blogger friends reading now, right? Let’s talk about sexy. What in your mind is sexy? The inspiration for this post is… I have nice lingerie and don’t get me wrong, Greg likes that. But he is wild about me wearing one of his white T-shirts and panties. I was a little nervous about the T-shirt, yet I have to admit it IS comfy. But WOW – Greg’s reaction! It turned the white T-shirt into something else. You’d think I was wearing something in tiger stripes and black lace. Needless to say, his reaction made me feel sexy. So, I know this is a touchy subject, anyone willing to comment?

Blogger Loves Blurb

Image
At least, this blogger loves Blurb.com . Recently I blogged about Greg giving me an external hard drive as a means to save my photos and journals. About a week or so before, I received an email from blog2print; it was an advertisement to make a blog book. What on earth? A blog book? I decided to do some research and found that several bloggers are doing this ~ creating a book of their blog posts ~ yet another way to keep the memories safe. Plus, you can have the posts, pictures and comments together, nicely bound. I almost went with blog2print, but after the research, one person wrote, "If you go through them, it's great for a first timer, but they don't have a lot of options. It downloads everything and you can't control the pages." I figured that the download part won't cost me anything, let me give it a try. Sure enough, it took in everything and when I say - everything - I mean - all comments and it puts it in a format that it's one line after another

65th Birthday Party Surprise

Image
I'm happy and relieved that Mom was surprised about her birthday party! It's difficult for me to keep a secret and I had to bite my tongue a couple of times while on the phone or visiting with Mom. (I SO wanted to blog about the preparations, but Mom reads my blog!) When I made the invitations, Dad told me to put my phone number and email on the RSVP, so he wouldn't have to be worried someone would call their home and leave a message on the recorder. Every time someone emailed or called me, I wanted to say, "Mom! Guess who's coming to your party!" But shucks, I couldn't! (I should mention that I talk to Mom just about every day.) A couple of months ago, Mom even said, "Don't worry about throwing me a party. Not many people would show anyway, I don't think." Well, Ma, you were wrong. 26 people were at the party and that's with all the flooding in the streets because of the rainstorm. They'd go through all of that, to make it there

Happy Birthday Sunday Citar

Run Around

So, the insurance company sent the check - woo hoo. As typical, since there's a mortgage on the home, it was made out to me and the mortgage company. Because of the amount of the claim, I was told to mail the check to the loss department in Georgia so the mortgage company could review the claim and endorse the back of the check. I asked for the overnight address, because certainly I wasn't going to mail the check in the regular mail! When I questioned how the check would be returned, the representative informed me that for the check FedEx'd back, I'd have to send a prepaid envelope along with the insurance paperwork/check AND if it was being returned to my work address, I'd have to include a letter with my authorization to send it to the work address. Fine by me. I want the check to be trackable and delivered as soon as possible. If I have to sign for receipt of a package, it's best to have it delivered to the office because I'll be there to sign for it. Hen

Nasty Topic

Image
Let's talk about something nasty. No, not that ~ mind out the gutter please. I mean, something REALLY nasty. (And though it might be gross, please read to the end...) Legionella. It's a rod-shaped bacteria that thrives in standing water sources such as ponds, wells, cooling towers, air conditioner ducts and hot tubs. Legionella is spread as an aerosol, meaning the bacteria are contained in small water droplets. (Think hairspray affects) Once the bacteria enters the lungs, it feeds on living tissue and it doesn't always respond well to penicillin-based antibiotics. Though the bacteria is in water sources, it must be breathed into the lungs, not swallowed, in order to become problematic. Incubation period is from two to ten days, starting with the initial symptom of fatigue. Followed with high fever, coughing, diarrhea, nausea, headaches, muscle aches, chest pain, shortness of breath, ending with the potential of death. Serious stuff, no? Why bring this up? Let me switch topi

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad

Image
Today is my parents' anniversary. When I told Greg this, he called me and asked, "How many years?" I told him and then asked him why he wanted to know.... He said, "Gotta go." That's my cue that he's up to something. A few minutes later I received an email with a poem that Greg wrote: And now... an anniversary poem.... This is the anniversary, of a most wonderful day, when they tied the knot, Lester and Gay. They started a family, Adding Rob and Aleta, The latter of which made my life sweeter. So I'm thankful to you two, for bringing her into my life. 'cause without you both, I wouldn't have my wife. 43 years ago when you walked down that aisle You had no idea how it will make more future smiles. You're both giving, loving A family strong and so true Your generosity knows no limits But this I must say to you........ Try as I might Still it makes my brain sour Yet I can't erase the image Of you two in the shower. * Happy Anniversary! Y
