Letter to My Son

Dear Son, I wonder if you will read these letters one day.  I hope so.  I hope it gives you a glimpse into the beautiful person that is you and how loved you are... but sometimes these letters might make you go, "Oh, Ma!  Did you HAVE to write that?"  Yes, sweet son, I did.  Milestones.  Wait until you have your own child.  You'll  understand.  Such as this post that I shared on Facebook: Mardi Gras day 2016 will be remembered, in our home, as the first full day in big boy underwear for Gregory with No problems. Gregory used the potty for 1 and 2. No accidents. Yeah! Before turning 3! Family and Friends understood and cheered you on for the accomplishment! The same day, you were a huge help in cleaning up.  You even sang the song, "Clean up, Clean up, Everybody everywhere.  Clean up, Clean up, everybody do their share."  It was so cute.  You asked Mommy to help you and said, "There are toys under the table" while you cleaned off the toys on th

Dear Son, Your cough was following you around like a lost puppy dog.  You couldn't shake it.  Finally, we made an appointment with the doctor.  A week after being on antibiotics, you are doing a lot better.  No more waking up coughing.  Oma and Opa were kind to bring you to the appointment and then go to two different drug stores to get your two medicines. Dr. Volke (Mommy's ENT) said that the frequency of you having sinus/upper respiratory issues concerns him.  It could be contact with other sick children, the change in weather, etc, etc, but if you get sick again soon after this time, Dr. Volke will recommend you to see an allergy specialist, to make sure it's not allergy issues that could later develop into lung/pneumonia problems if left untreated.  Mommy and Uncle Rob both had problems of this nature and Dr. Volke said it can be hereditary.  Let's pray for the best and good health!
