About

Welcome! I’m glad you’re here. This blog gathers many pieces of my life — letters to my son, recipes, stories of travel, reflections on surviving breast cancer, and the creative spark that art continues to bring me.

I became a mom later in life, after doctors once told me it wasn’t possible. At 43, I was surprised with the gift of my son, who has been my greatest teacher and source of strength. He carried me through dark days of treatment and recovery, and he continues to remind me that joy can always be found in small moments.

By day, I work at a law firm, handling billing and supporting a team of attorneys. I’m fortunate to be surrounded by colleagues who walked beside me through surgeries and recovery. Their encouragement, along with my family’s, showed me the power of community and empathy.

Before parenthood, my husband and I traveled often — to places like New York, Alaska, Hawaii, and most recently, Italy. Many of these adventures were made possible through the generosity of my parents. I still love to explore, but I also find comfort in being home, where art, family, and daily rituals create their own adventures.

Art has always been a part of me — a passion from childhood that became a source of healing as an adult. From painting and jewelry making to stained glass, mixed media, and even cake decorating, art is where I process, play, and reconnect with myself. You’ll find some of that journey shared here as well, alongside the other threads of my life.

I hope you’ll find warmth, encouragement, and maybe a spark of inspiration as you read along.
