Earth Day has since gone and past; I'm wondering ~ what did everyone do for Earth Day? Did it make a big change in your life? Some of my friends planted trees, others decided to use natural solutions for cleaning, etc. I have a couple of different articles I'd like to share. Originally I was going to post this as the "Toxic Generation" (primarily based on an email my Dad sent to me and some research into the matter of plastic). Isn’t that the best picture ever? Hehe. After I took it, Greg said, “Ohhh no, Aleta has something to blog about!” Dad remarked, “Don’t you DARE put that picture up.” But he knew better. He’ll probably even share my blog with family, because, I mean, hey, it’s priceless! It looks like Dad swallowed a Smurf. Usually Dad is so serious in pictures, I love it when I can capture these moments, because this is my Dad – smurf tongue and all! So, what caused the color? Purple Yam Ice Cream. Remember the Purple Yam bread from the Philippines, I mentioned as a topic, I’ll write more about that another day. It seems they make it for ice cream as well. Ever have Blogger's Block or maybe it's Finger Fatigue? There are things I'd like to blog about, but I don't know if it's blog worthy or interesting. For now, I'm just doing a quick post to wish everyone a Happy Easter. Some of my friends came by the other night to help Greg and I decorate Easter Eggs. I’m doing a Happy Dance! The Blue Monster is Gone, Gone, Gone! It’s been a long time, since 1997. I’m glad to see it go. Blue Monster ~ being the Franklin Sectional sofa sleeper and matching blue swivel, rocking chair. Greg put the ad on Craig’s List to sell it. Before selling the monster, we considered various options of replacement. We were in agreement that the tan walls and new tan tile floor needed a splash of color, but the dark blue (almost looks black) sofa was dated and swallowed up the room. Honestly, I didn’t figure Greg and I would have the same taste. Men can get picky about things, not wanting a room to be too feminine. Greg, a manly man with the knowledge of tools and building and chemical engineering, (those things requiring a creative gift in and of itself), add to that, Greg has a degree in Commercial and Graphic Design.
