Happy Valentine's Day
I’ll be honest, the past week has been craptastic. Sinus infections are no fun and worse
when your baby has a cold too.
Feel sorry for my husband as well, because my mood swings were all over
the place on cold medicine. Yikes!
Yesterday I started to feel a little better and I’m hoping
today will keep with that improvement.
Late yesterday evening the baby fell asleep on me and I dosed off
too. Neither of us was sleeping
well because of our colds. At one
point I thought for sure that I heard my husband in the kitchen baking
something, smell or sound, but when I asked him about it, he said he
wasn’t. I figured it was just the
medicine playing games with my sinuses.
As we were putting the baby to bed, I looked in the kitchen
and saw the Valetine’s Day card and the heart shaped cake. Awww, he did that for me and kept it a
secret to surprise me. My husband
said, “I have more of the cake in the freezer.” I asked why there was more. He explained that he made a sheet cake and carved out the
heart.
I looked at him, smiled and said, “You do know we have heart
shaped pans, right?” He opened the
cabinet doors and said, “Where?!
Where! I didn’t know.” It just makes the cake all the sweeter,
because he took the time and effort to carve the heart.
Valentine’s Day will always be special, because it’s the day
my husband first told me that he loved me. Greg doesn’t believe in giving flowers, because he doesn’t
want to “give something that will die.”
He doesn’t need to give flowers when he does romantic things, in his own
creative way.
This morning, I woke up to seeing my husband and son on the
sofa. My husband was watching tv
and our son was asleep on him. My
heart couldn’t melt more.
My husband asked me, “Did you read Facebook yet?” He wrote this on his wall:
A smooth shout out to the
world about how wonderful my sweet wife is. She is very caring, loving, kind,
intelligent, organized, keeps a wonderful house (all of which I am not) and is
an unbelievable Mother to our son. Marrying you and having us as a family is
the greatest thing that has happened to me. After over 47 years on this Earth,
I decided to take the leap and marry her 5 years ago
, and it wasn't a gamble at
all if you ask me. Thanks for putting up with all of my downsides. I love you
Aleta Gay Grimball... And I want the entire world to know this!
Will you be my Valentine?

Me
Yes, I Will! Always,
Sweetheart, and Forever…. XOXO Thank you for putting up with my moods and being so thoughtful and loving. I look at you and our son and I just don't understand why I'm so blessed. I can't imagine a day without either of you. I love you.
Happy Valentine's Day

Little Gregory is starting to look more toddler-like and less baby like...still the cutest of the cute but he's changing a bit.
