Thankful for Hobbies :)

I'm thankful for hobbies, or what I call.. my "labor of love."  ~ That would be making jewelry with seed beads, crystals, gems, pearls, etc.  It's time consuming, but it gives me a lot of joy.

Making jewelry not only brings the joy of creating, but the joy of community ~ I've met some absolutely awesome beading friends ~ talented ladies that are such a treasure!

For my birthday, my husband gave me a gift certificate to Turquoise Coyote, a bead store - one of the best places to shop for crystals.  They have a huge variety and reasonable prices.

I don't go to the town where the store is located that often, but my husband has an account in the area.  He dropped me off at the store to shop while he went to work.  I came back with all crystals!  There's so much more at Turquoise Coyote, but I knew I didn't have many 2xAB (double aura borealis) in my crystal stock.

Normally, I wouldn't buy 2xAB, but with a gift certificate, it was a treat :)

I finished the necklace, but the picture below is the "work in progress."  I'll have to post a completed picture on my jewelry blog:

I have been away from the computer for 3 or 4 days and am reading your posts in reverse. That necklace looks lovely. I don't know how you and fellow jewelry makers are able to work with such little beads.

You have a talent and that surely is something to be thankful for.
