Baby Room Pictures
My husband has worked the past few days non-stop on the baby's room. He wouldn't let me in. Didn't even let my parents in for a peek at the room. He wanted everyone to see it with as much "baby" things as possible - crib, dresser, wall appliqués, mattress, etc.
Greg even came up with the idea of buying wood letters from the local craft store. We painted the letters blue, then put them on the bottom of one window.
Here are some pictures... walls painted blue and "Peeking Pooh" theme from Babies R Us.
The crib and dresser are made of mahogany wood. The crib is a "lifetime" crib, where it goes from a crib, to a toddler bed, to full sized bed, to queen size bed. It's heavy wood and very sturdy.
I love the rocker-glider... but right now our dog Penny thinks that Greg should hold her when he sits there! Lol.
To the right, you can see 3 shelves. the two top shelves aren't as wide as the lowest shelf. The lowest shelf will be used for a changing station and later as a desk for our son.
To the left of the above picture, there's a section on the floor marked off in blue tape. This is where the 5 drawer chest of drawers will be located. My parents are buying this as my birthday and Christmas gift :) Hopefully it will be delivered in a couple of weeks.
When Greg turned the mobile on over the crib and the musical played.... oh that sound.... it was perfect.... I said, "This room has never looked better. It's as if it's been waiting for our baby. It looks so right."
When my parents came over, my Mom was a little teary-eyed when she saw the room. I think they really liked it :)
Oh and We have decided that we will call our son "Gregory" - not Greg Jr or any other nickname. There are four Greg's on Greg's side of the family. When we go to family functions, my husband goes by GregO, my brother in law goes by GregF, our nephew goes by Greggie... and our son will go by Gregory. I love my husband's name, both full and short version.

The room is amazing. And with that bed, Gregory is always going to be comfortable sleeping no matter what his age is.
My brother's name is Gregory, we call him Greg. Great name! =D5
