Confession about Popcorn


I have a confession about making popcorn. We don't use the microwave kind unless it's the only thing we have in the house. My husband enjoys making the popcorn on the stove, the old fashion kind of way. It smells up the house very nicely :)





I should also confess that I'm considering putting some of the popcorn we make into a bag and having it in my purse for when we go to the movies - it's cheaper than the movie kind and better too!

Oh and I'll confess something I know about my Dad... he can't stand the smell of popcorn. He tells employees, "NO POPCORN in the office!"

I prefer the taste of stove top popcorn too, but haven't made it that way in many years.

Microwave popcorn is actually full of very harmful chemicals. I have been making popcorn on the stove ever since my nephew developed food allergies and I was told this.

We used to do the movie thing when I was a kid.

Aleta, I love pop corns. I liked the idea of making pop corns at home and taking it for a movie. Its definitely cheaper, else we pay thro' the nose.

We've never been big popcorn people UNTIL I decided one day to try making popcorn on the stove. OH MY GOODNESS! It's the best popcorn I've ever tried - we're hooked now! :)

I don't mind microwave popcorn, but when my husband makes stovetop it's like a religious experience. I only allow him to make it like once a month b/c I eat about 8 times the recommended serving.

I actually like the microwave stuff better, is that odd? I can never seem to get enough salt on the stove top popcorn. I've no doubt that the microwave version is much worse for me though!

I love popcorn. So does my husband. Right now we use the microwave stuff because then we can split one bag 1/3 to 2/3 ratio and have a healthy bedtime snack that doesn't weigh down in the stomach.

Amish popcorn! Where are you getting this? We have Midianites in the area that have a store here in town but I haven't found popcorn yet.
