Making Bracelets and Cold Splashes

Ok, I’m trying to be better about updating the 101 list. I completed two bracelets, but oh, the first one was a challenge! I finished it just in time before I was planned to instruct a beading class on a different bracelet. I enjoy instructing and watching members of the Beading Society as their bracelets come together. I was tickled that Greg's sister, Madelyn, came to the meeting. She was a natural and worked the braided bracelet very quickly. I hope she joins us again!

Greg came by and helped me pick up the tables and chairs after the meeting. Then we went to my parents’ home.

The pool water was cool, but Greg wanted to go in. My parents went to Mississippi for the weekend. I told Greg that if he went in first, that I would join him. He said it was cool and refreshing. He had to coax me in, because, folks, let me tell ya, no matter how hot and humid it gets in this area, water is still cold! Lol. It was great though, once I acclimated to it through tears and laughter. I hope to go swimming more often this summer (and it will fulfill another 101 list item too).

For all those wonderful ladies out there ~ Happy Mother's Day!

Thank you, Rashikaps! The second one is fun to make. It takes time and the motif's (the round parts) are cool to make. It uses a brick stitch design. I don't sell my jewelry and unfortunately, I don't have enough material to make another copy of that one. But I might have some material in other colors. I was thinking about using Swarv. pearls as the center and make it into a flower, maybe pastel color petals. OK, I can ramble on about designs! Thanks for the compliment! You made my day!

Wow! Beading society sounds chic. And those bracelets are very beautiful…and after reading the post, I am tad bit curious what all is up for the hot 101!

Hi Vartika! Yes, the beading society is fantastic! It’s a great group of ladies in the local New Orleans area who come together to bead, share their talents and instruct those who would like to learn. I’m honored to be a part of it. You asked about the 101 list – if you look at my blog in the upper left corner, I put the list there (for easy research on this I’m doing/done). I got the idea from Jen's blog. She's posted responses on my blog. You can click on her name and follow a link to her blog.
