33 week 4D ultrasound picture
Today I went to the appointment with Dr. Chau, the pregnancy specialist. She said the baby's heart rate was 150. He was moving a lot and the ultrasound video wasn't that good, because he was all over the place. She barely got the picture that she did.
Baby Gregory weighs 4 pounds 13 ounces. I'm 33 weeks pregnant and he's measuring 34, which they said is perfectly normal.
After all of the numbers were entered into the system, it came back that our baby is in the 50 percentile, meaning he's not too small and not too big and everything is exactly on target.
When I saw Dr. Wild on Tuesday, baby Gregory was breech. Today, he was face down. I'm sure he'll keep moving around, but I was happy to see that at least once he is face down :) We did see that he was practicing breathing and the amniotic fluid was where it needed to be (last time it was too high).
Dr. Chau said, "OK, this is the last visit! Everything looks great, so I don't have to see you again." We were thrilled that she felt that good about our baby. Dr. Chau continued, "Please bring him by so I can see him." Of course we will. Dr. Chau has been with us from the beginning.
Then, Dr. Chau changed her mind, "Oh wait, blood pressure problems. I will see you in 3 weeks." My blood pressure was 145/85. She wasn't concerned to the point that I was put on bed rest, but she does want me to see her in 3 weeks and make sure it's not going up more and she also verified that I'm going in for frequent NST with Dr. Wild, which I am.
Below are two pictures - the first is the 4d ultrasound without any color on it. The second has color, to better see the face and hand. Like I said, the baby was moving a LOT, so we were lucky to get this. She said the cord and hands and feet were all over in front of the baby's face. He is looking to the left.
Oh! And our baby has hair! :) The ultrasound technician said, "Look he has hair, you can see it waving in the fluid." I couldn't see what she saw, but I trust it's there :)
