Which Pill

"You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes."

Sorry, I was having a Matrix movie moment :)

During my first visit with the OBGYN to confirm that we are pregnant, they gave me a "goodie" bag.  It was filled with information about future doctor visits, things not to eat, a baby magazine and a bunch of different prenatal vitamins to try.  The doctor said, "Try them and let me know which one of them you prefer."

Here's a picture of two, a yellow and purple.  Guess which I picked?  (Hint, it wasn't the horse pill)  When my friend, Kim, was pregnant about 13 years ago, she couldn't take any prenatal vitamins because she couldn't keep them down.  When I told her about the yellow pill, she wished they had that available back then.  My doctor also said there are gummy prenatal vitamins for women who can't handle either.

For the next visit, I told the doctor which one I liked and she was happy with it, saying they have a type of folic that she likes:

There is one that is a fizzy drink, as well.

Oh those prenatals! I used to take these giant ones that would "stay with me" like all day. I would burp and taste them! Ugh! It was my first baby, though, so I thought I had to take the biggest, yuckiest pill in order to be healthy. Ha! I would probably like the gummy ones...maybe next time around.

Gosh how things have changed. there wre no pills when I had my daughter all those years ago - I was just told to have a healthy, varied diet. I would have taken the smaller ones too - I find it hard to take pills - so the gummy ones would be excellent. Loved your Matrix moment by the way.

What a cute package, because that is how being pregnant feels all of the time ;p. But seriously though, I do love it! HAHAHA

I liked your Matrix moment
