Letter X

X-ray.... X-rated... Xerox copier machine.

What about ex-husbands or ex-bosses. I imagine that wouldn't count for a topic because of the silent "e". Ah well, then I'm left with nothing to share for this post.

Whenever the kids and I play the alphabet game, we always make an exception for X. It can appear anywhere in the word.

And the "e" isn't silent. Consider "ax" and "ox."

True, but you don't say "ax-ray" or "ox-factor". The letter x, when sounded out, has the "ex" sound to it. :)
