Confession about this picture

I have a confession to make.... I cried when I took this picture. I don't know if the picture is clear or not, it was taken at night.

On the left is my Dad... he had 3 heart surgeries with a period of 30 days. Next month will make 4 months since his surgeries.

On the right is my Mom... she had 2 eye surgeries. The doctor said "she made history twice" (they video'd both surgeries), because her eye situation is very unique.

And here they are... walking together, hand in hand. It's beautiful. Just beautiful... because in the past couple of months, this picture... walking hand in hand... it was wondered if they would be able to do this again. And here they are... I don't want to take moments like this for granted ever again.

(I also participated in Sunday Citar and Scavenger Hunt Photo's today.)

That is truly a miracle then!
We can't take anyone for granted because we don't know long we have with that person.

I love this, to see them holding hands and walking together into the night. And into whatever else faces them. What a lovely post.

What an inspiration they are. I've had to learn from experience that we need to make each moment count.
It truly IS all about the little things. Lovely reminder.

I'm tearing up... as someone who has not found the person I want to walk through life holding hands with, that is just so touching. I want that!
Wow, they've been through so much and it's so awesome to see that they are still holding on to each other!
True love conquers all! So glad for all of you that you have these moments - and that they continue:)

What a beautiful moment in time to capture! Thank you for posting a reminder of what's important in life.
I think in this day and age when people are really growing old together, that's a miracle. That they do so despite their medical odds is even more beautiful. Bless them.
