for loving what you can't have...

for ohh'ing and ahhh'ing as your friends unwrapped gifts you would never hold

for the pain of not being acknowledged on that special day each year

for the cold table and cold gel and cold results

for the hope given a name and then faded


Because....

you are a Mom

even though your arms are empty

even if the crib with the pink and blue blanket will never be rocked

even when you held back the tears to be happy for your friends

even if the only touch was on a screen

you are a Mom..

Because you loved your child before it could never be born
